Share the sourdough love!

If you are short on time but need something that’s big on wow factor – this is the recipe you need! Easy Cheese & Garlic Pull Apart Bread in 30 minutes.

This yummy bread is the perfect accompaniment to soups, stews and pasta dishes. It’s even perfect with dip or just simply on it’s own.

Take Your 2 Ingredient Dough To The Next Level

This easy cheese and garlic pull apart bread utilises 2 ingredient dough to make it super fast. The secret to getting airy bread rolls is to add a little baking powder to your dough. This little trick, along with making sure your oven is hot when you put them in, will ensure you get airy bread with a crunchy cheesy crust.

Add Your Fave Flavours

Once you get the basics down pat, you can adjust the herbs and seasoning to your taste. Some of the combinations my family loves are:

  • Spinach & Ricotta – I mix frozen spinach & firm ricotta together with a little parmesan and tuck that in between the balls of dough.
  • Rosemary & Garlic – some rosemary into your cheese mix for extra herby goodness.
  • Drain the oil from a jar of roasted capsicum & drizzle this over the top instead of plain olive oil.
  • Replace the cheese with strong cheddar and top with pickled jalepeno slices for a spicy twist.

Freezing Tips

This yeast free cheese & garlic pull apart bread is best served hot straight out of the oven and consumed that day. If you want to freeze it, it would be better to freeze it uncooked and then defrost and cook when you want to eat it.

This Easy Peasy Cheese & Garlic Pull Apart Bread can be on your table in 30 minutes. It's oh so good and will become your go to way to making and eating garlic bread!

Yields1 Serving
Prep Time10 minsCook Time20 minsTotal Time30 mins

 2 cups Plain Greek Yoghurt
 3 cups Self Raising Flour
 ¼ tsp Baking Powder
 2 tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Dried Oregano or Rosemary
 ½ cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
 ½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
 ½ cup Grated Mozzarella Cheese
 2 tbsp Butter
 2 tbsp Olive Oil

1

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees. Line a round springform tin with baking paper. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just makes it much easier to get your bread out at the end.

2

You'll need to make a batch of 2 ingredient dough to start this recipe. Because you're making bread, add 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder to your mixture just to be sure your bread is light and airy.

3

Add the Greek yoghurt, baking powder and self raising flour to your food processor and mix it until the dough comes away from the sides of the bowl and forms a dough.

4

Turn your dough out onto a floured surface and divide it into 8-12 pieces - depending on how much you have. Roll each of your pieces into balls - they don't need to be perfect.

5

Place one ball of dough in the centre of your tin and then arrange the others around it. It's good if they are squished together a little bit.

6

Add the garlic powder and butter together and spread it all over your dough.

7

Mix all your cheeses together and then pop a bit between each of the balls of dough and then all over the top as well.

8

Finish by drizzling with olive oil, making sure that any dough that is not covered with cheese gets a little drizzle. Sprinkle oregano flakes over the top.

9

Bake in a hot oven for around 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden and the cheese is brown and bubbly.
