This whipped caramel dip comes together in minutes and mixes heavy cream, soft cream cheese, cinnamon, and rich caramel sauce into a sweet and fluffy treat. It’s perfect with apples, sourdough crackers, or anything you want to dip through a soft, creamy swirl. Make it ahead for easy entertaining or a fun family dessert.
Before you start, make sure your cream cheese is soft, if it's still hard and cold, it won't whip into the heavy cream and you'll have a gritty textured dip.
Add the heavy whipping cream, cream cheese, sugar (if using) and cinnamon to the bowl of a stand mixer and use the whisk or paddle attachment to whip until light and fluffy (speed 4 to 6 for around 2 to 3 minutes).
Now add the caramel sauce and whip again for around 1 minute until it's completely combined with the whipped cream mixture.
Voila! You've got whipped caramel dip that you can serve with apple slices or your favorite sourdough crackers (I highly recommend these cinnamon sugar sourdough crackers).
Notes
Caramel Sauce - I've used my homemade caramel sauce right out of the fridge. I find using it while it's thick gives you the best consistency.
